Dyed Variant

Added:

v0.12.0

Black Variants represents a set of decorative blocks added by HEXCraft which are either crafted by the default recipes or are obtained using the Black Hexorium Dye. All blocks in a single variant allow for all 18 standard Energized Hexorium colors (other than Glowing Hexorium Glass which has 17 colors, and Hexorium-Coated Stone and Tempered Hexorium Glass which are colorless).

NOTE: Black variants do not have the prefix "Black", as they are the default crafted block variant.

List of Blocks

The following blocks may be dyed to black:

Examples

Below are some examples how blocks of this variant look like.

All blocks of this variant placed in the world.
Same blocks, but during night time. Inverted Hexorium Lamp was removed to get rid of the light.
A chamber created using blocks of this variant.

Obtaining

All Black Variants are obtained either using the default crafting recipes in HEXCraft (without using any dyes) or by using the Black Hexorium Dye in some way, either through crafting or in-world dyeing.

Craft Dyeing

Dyed decorative blocks may be crafted either by using a dye in a shapeless recipe with the blocks which should be dyed.

Additionally, decorative blocks which are made using Hexorium-Coated Stone or Tempered Hexorium Glass will keep the dyed color of the base block. For example:

In-World Dyeing

Decorative blocks already placed in the world may be dyed without breaking them. Simply use the dye on the block. Note that this completely swaps the block with the new one and may not be used on blocks which already form a multiblock structure.

Lore

Black Variants are simply all decorative Hexorium blocks either created without any changes done to them or dyed using Black Hexorium Dye in order to have a white surface color. Hexorium seems to assume a dark sheen when used in normal situations, so further dyeing is generally not necessary unless the blocks were previously in a different color. The process of how the dye works is described on the Hexorium Dyes page.
