Hexorium Pressure Plates work identically to Vanilla Pressure Plates, and can thus be used to emit Redstone signal. However, unlike normal pressure plate, they are configurable. Using a Hexorium Manipulator, a player can change the pressure plate's mode of detection. The pressure plate has the following modes: Everything, Entities, Mobs, Players. The Everything mode will detect everything that touches the plates, including items, mobs, players, etc. Entities mode will detect dropped items and similar. Mobs mode will detect only mobs and Players mode will detect only players. To change the operating mode, simply right click on it using the Hexorium Manipulator. You can also check which mode it is on by right clicking on the pressure plate with the Hexorium Probe.

Lore
Hexorium Pressure Plate is an intelligently designed device that can be used to detect multiple different things and then emit a Redstone signal. Using a Hexorium Manipulator, one can adjust the internals, making it detect different kinds of creatures or objects. To achieve this, the pressure plate utilizes a built in Weighted Pressure Plate (Heavy) and calculates the weight of the object on it.
