Hexorium Nether Monoliths spawn naturally in the [[Nether]] and can easily be identified by their hexagonal shape and characteristic glow-in-dark effect. For the counterpart that spawns in the [[Overworld]], visit the [[Hexorium Monolith]] page. The spawning is done using a custom algorithm which prevents the monoliths from ever spawning inside rock and creating pockets of air. The monoliths will always spawn inside caves either on floor or ceiling. Do note that if no suitable spawn place is identified, a monolith might not spawn at all. Red, Green and Blue monoliths have a way lower chance to spawn than other colors. The table below shows the spawning rates.

The monoliths can be mined using an [[Iron Pickaxe]] or greater. When mined without [[Silk Touch]], the monoliths will drop raw [[Hexorium (Lore)|Hexorium]] crystals. Crystal drop rate is increased depending on [[Fortune]] enchant applied to the pick. The table below lists the different drop rates. Again, Red, Green and Blue monoliths have lower drop rates.
